About Us

The Burlington-Camden (NJ) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. received its charter on Saturday, April 12, 1969. The charter was presented by Brother Lancelot Tynes 13th Northeastern Province Polemarch. A formal banquet was held at the Rickshaw Inn in Cherry Hill, New Jersey following the chartering ceremony.

About the Fraternity

Kappa Alpha Psi® is the 2nd oldest existing collegiate historically Black Greek Letter Fraternity and the 1st intercollegiate Fraternity incorporated as a national body. It remains the only Greek letter organization with its Alpha Chapter on Indiana University’s campus. The Fraternity has over 125,000 members with 700 undergraduate and alumni chapters in nearly every state of the United States, and international chapters in Nigeria, South Africa, the West Indies, the United Kingdom, Germany, Korea and Japan.

Kappa League

Kappa League, which was formally known as Kappa Instructional Leadership League, is the national youth initiative of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated. Kappa League focuses on training young men of color (but not exclusive to) 6th through 12th grade for leadership, achievement and service in every field of human endeavor. Strong emphasis is placed upon personal development, academic achievement and college and career preparation.

DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION

KCDC develops and initiates programs to assist the youth in our society in three principal areas: leadership development, career awareness, and mentoring. With emphasis on self-motivation, discipline, responsibility, common sense, and self-respect. We hope to help young adults, particularly those considered at risk, to develop a positive self-concept, while achieving in academic and job training skills.
